A 'blast' from the past.............

Saw this posted up on another website and thought some of you oldtimers would like to 'go back' a few years.............

    Neat old video, but I'm not impressed by the gun safety those guys exhibited. I saw several instances of one hunter sweeping another with the muzzle of his rifle.

    .............as well as 'sweeping ' the camera man.............. That was the first thing I noticed, it made me want to move to the side of my computer screen to get out of the way.

    I think its ok provided you salute the Canadian flag as you cross the border...............ditto with the cigarettes...........

    It's a Winchester, this one was made in the latest run a couple years ago.

    I've been thinking about another lever gun, darn you!! I REALLY like it! Weren't they some sort of upgraded 1886 model??

    It was a redesigned 1886 coil springs, changed the angle on the locking lugs. I think he carrier was changed too. The stock was redesigned to have a straight heel the pistol grip has a tighter angle more of a bolt action feel. It is an awesome rifle. With the added benefit of launching a 200 gr bullet 2400 feet per second!
