can you separate out the velocity of a mag safe rd, without worrying about what the bullet is made of? as long as the bullet is the same size and weight, it can be driven to the same velocity, man (safely). If you're worried about "inadequate penetration", then make that bullet a solid aluminum or copper swc. It's still going to have a LOT more energy and effect than standard ball ammo, and it's going to penetrate barriers better too. Granted, that doesn't take much, especially in .45, cause they don't penetrate much. :-)
