Just a guess but I'm thinking 10 days.

Thank you. I wonder if a waiting period has actually ever worked as intended?

I've heard on here for years how accurate Savage rifles are out of the box. But I have two, one of which I suspect the barrel is burned out of but the other is brand new and won't shoot tighter than 1.5-2 MOA. I'm seriously considering ordering me a barrel from Mid Way and changing out the 7 mag. But the Stevens 200 .223 has me wondering. It's new, and I can't get it to shoot anything consistently.

But at least if you have a barrel vise, a barrel wrench and access to the correct Go-No Go gauges, you can change them out yourself and don't need to ream the barrel to fit. That part has gotten expensive nowadays. I do love the those features of the Savage design.

Anyway, congrats on your rifle and I hope you don't have the same problems I do. in .308 it should be a tack driver.
    Daddy, what's an enabler?

    Yep, it makes you wait.

I'd say yes, as it was intended to annoy gun buyers.
