...Dr. Paul Quinett has written some very good books, Palov's Trout, Darwin's Bass, & Fishing Lessons to name a few. Here's an insightful article he wrote for "Shooting Times", worth the read...

    That's just plain silly.

I hunt so I can spend non-discretionary income.

I hunt so I can justify living back here in the boonies.

$50 a pound? Since when did it go on sale? That's damn near half price around here! :rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao:
    Daddy, what's an enabler?

A buddy of mine had a prof in college explain it like this, "Don't tell your wife you are going hunting in Colorado for all the "free" elk meat. By the time you spend $500 to $1,000 on a rifle, another $2,000 in assorted camping gear and clothes, plus $30,000 for a 4x4 truck to haul it all out there, not to mention the cost of the tags, that "free" elk meat ain't so free. Tell your wife that you hunt to occupy your time to keep you out of the strip clubs. She might even buy you a new rifle."
