Three Bucks

At the outset, I will state that none of these bucks are what most guys around here would call a "shooter"... even the largest of them just doesn't have enough mass to be considered a really nice buck. Apparently though, someone doesn't think that way - I have found these deer over three consecutive years in pretty much the same place in my back pasture. I surmise that while the guy has the stones to sit on the fence...he balks at crossing the fence to follow up his shots... One of these years I'll catch him at it...

These antlers are pretty typical of most of the bucks running around this area...that being said..there are some real monsters carrying the same basic shape but much more mass...

I would drop any one of those three and feel good about it. Some people really piss me off.

Put up some signs saying NO HUNTING OR TRESSPASSING - THIS AREA IS BEING MONITORED BY VIDEO then hang some little boxes with a hole in them far enough from the fence you can't tell it fake.

I think the point was, they were shot outside the property near the fence and made it into the property before they fell dead.

Or the guy sets up right next to the fence line and shoots over it. Then doesn't have the stones to retrieve it. Property line hunters really get me upset, people that let a critter waste make me want to punch a kitten.
If you are going to trespass with a bullet sack up and trespass with your feet.

Chiro, those were NOT hunters, they be POACHERS pure & simple. Probably the same butt-heads that shoot-up all the signs.
When I run across vandals shooting up property, I always try to get a license number, if possible.

I cringe whenever I hear a supposedly experienced hunter say they "shot at" a deer, as if it was like wing-shooting a game bird. Sadly, there are way too many of those types who will take any shot offered and don't have the gumption to track them down and finish up on a bad job.

I would be proud to tack any one of the three racks to the barn. I HATE wasting food even if it just goes bad in the fridge. But anyone that lets wild game go to waste deserves harsh punishment. Especially if it was just because he didn't want to burn a tag due to ground shrinkage. A pox on his house.

Correct Bisley, even worse and even more dangerous are the guys that said they shot at "A Deer they HEARD,in the brush"!!
