  Well I don't know how to rotate that from my phone. Sorry about the wonky orientation of the pic, but you get the idea. Just make sure to trim the dowels short enough not to seat your bullets deeper in the case.

  Cool! Are you in a humid climate? The untreated wood may hold moisture in the bore of all those cool handguns!

  Aim higher, or get a bigger gun.

  That's a cool idea but you clearly have more handguns than you need. But if you admit you don't have as many as you want we'll let it slide.:cool2:

  dowels are coated with some heavy duty poly. It is a conversion varnish and very strong. I don't foresee any moisture issues, but I will keep an eye out.

  I do something similar, i cover the dowels with thin wall flex clear plastic tubing from Home Depot aboyt $7.00 for 20'.

  That looks good, and with the coating you put on the wood, it should be good to go for a LONG time! Making a free standing one for trips to the gun range would be another good use for something like that.

  I guess you could always cover them with the tubing that electricians use which is then shrink wrapped with a heat gun...........or hair dryer if your name is Zorba..........

  Hair dryers don't get hot enough to reliably shrink heat shrink tubing - plus they're hard on your hair anyway, so I avoid them like the plague.
