Another Kydex Sheath...

Second attempt at working with kydex turned out better than the first........At least I think so.

This time I made the belt attachment first,

It has a snap fit so no safety strap is needed....
I had to reheat it several times to get the fit just right but you can hold it upside down and shake it and the knife will not fall out but it is not so tight that it is overly hard to remove the knife one handed.

BTW thank you CPJ for the tip on setting the grommets with the drill press.......much better than setting them with a mallet.

That's a nice knife sheath. You're getting good at that Kydex stuff!
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Thank you, got a couple more to go, I like leather or kydex but I can't stand the nylon stuff they seem to dish out with the knives now days. They seem so generic and fit sloppy.

What are you using for a press to shape it? Foam sammiched between plywood?

    Yep,
The first one I made had a hinge on one end and a couple clamps for the other but I found it was hard to get even pressure so I made another one with long bolts around the perimeter.......slower but works ok.

Nice work, where did you get the green Kydex, I've only seen black and brown?
