  Not exactly like that- - - - -but I have pulled up a stringer of nothing but fish heads after a bunch of turtles got to my catch!

  I've done that too...Or pulled up a bush hook with a cottom mouth at the other end...

  Regarding releasing a fish and having it eaten by another fish, that is really common in salt water. I've had bottlenose dolphins steal sea trout right off the hook. And have had more than one short grouper pitched back in the water be eaten by a shark lurking close to the boat. And during the tarpon fishing tournaments the hammerhead sharks come running and eat tarpon still being fought, or grab them as soon as the tired fish is released. Out in the Gulf fishing for bait I've caught big grouper on way too light tackle by hooking a fish that will be used as bait, and the grouper wasn't willing to wait for it to reappear on a heavier hook and tackle. Salt water fishing can be interesting; it's an either eat or get eaten world.

  The latest cop bushwhacker would fit that category- - - - - an illegal alien drug dealer with a string of arrests and several aliases, and deported twice!

  The good Sheriff of Maricopa County AZ, Joe Arpiao, has a lot to say about that illegal murderer (and others) on TV.
  
  Far as fish is concerned, I got a fishin fool of a friend in TX who and everyone in the tournaments have catch and release. They catch the same tagged ones over and over weeks/months apart so I don't know about bass dying when thrown back at least, not there.

  Most bass tournaments won't allow dead or dying fish to be weighed in, and they have pretty effective release methods to minimize stress on the fish. The "release" shown in the video looked pretty amateurish.
