Israel will release 1,027 Palestinians in return for one of theirs:

It certainly seems like a jester of good faith toward piece in the middle East between Israel and Palestin, but we all know deep down that the Palestinians don't really want piece with our Friend Israel. I am glad to see that Israel got the tanks crewman back anyway.

That's a fair ratio, I reckon and about what the Palestinian POWs are worth in a trade. Probably the right amount that each Jew would have to kill in that part of the world too to survive, seeing how all their neighbors/others hate them and want to bury them.

And the devaluation of the Palestinian continues.

Used to be it would take only 300-400 Palestinians to secure the release of one Israeli soldier. Now it's 1,000+. The value's dropping worse than the old Russian Ruble!
    Meh.

I'd say its good. The value of the Israeli soldier has only strengthened in relation to the Palestinian prisoner.

Yes, I think that may be the hilarious (and highly appropriate) misspelling of the decade. :rotflmao:

. . .toward piece :guns:in the middle East between Israel and Palestine

The preferred "piece in the middle east" is either an AK-47 or a Galil, depending on which side of the line you're on. Peace in the middle east, OTOH, isn't going to happen in our lifetimes.

Now that they've got him back home, I expect Israel is going to take a much harder line the next time the terrorists stir the pot. There probably won't be as many prisoners to swap after the next mixup. The only thing these guys understand is overwhelming force, applied swiftly and without mercy.

+1. Dang sure seems that way, if nothing else.
Knowledge is essential to living freely and fully; understanding gives knowledge purpose and strength; wisdom is combining the two and applying them appropriately in words and actions.

Israel got the best deal, all those Palestinian people were expensive to hold.

...plus they can now blow them to pieces with a Hellfire if they misbehave again, while in jail they were no more than an expensive nuisance.
