The AMax is not a hunting bullet. It's a target bullet.
Some people would say that using an AMax is not ethical....but then, some people are idiots....
That is exactly the type of performance I want in a hunting bullet....

Great job, congratulations. I also love to hunt with the 6.5x284 and it's my favorite when I've gone to Wyoming for speed goats.
You & Ernie have me convinced to try some "A-max" Hornady's for something other than paper punching. I have a 260 Rem. that
I've got a few hunting loads worked up for with 129 SST's, but it shoots 123 A-Max's so well and its B.C. is higher (velocity too).
Have you had any hunting experience with the 123 A-max bullets in 6.5?
There's no such thing as having too much ammo, unless you're on fire or trying to swim!

I have not used the 123gr A-Max. I considered it for my .260 Remington XP-100..........but decided to simplify things and go with the 140gr bullet for all my 6.5 cartridges. Just makes life easy that way.

Appears to be my second best. At least visually.

Yeah me too Farm Boy. But right now even a nice, Texas legal white tail buck would be different enough for me,

Son that's somebody with nothing to do with his time but keep me in trouble with mom.
