Hey Sam! I Found It!

Remember several weeks ago I asked you if you were familiar with a certain type of choral music that I had just heard for the first time? Remember? You weren't, but suggested a place for me to start looking for recordings! Well, I found it and ordered the two CD's and Oh My God but it is the most hauntingly beautiful music that I've ever listened to! It's the "Capella De Ministrers-La Cite Des Damas" compiled and arranged by Carles Magraner. The 29 songs on the CD's were all written by WOMEN in the late Middle Ages-Early Renaissance, and played on period instruments. It isn't operatic by any means, but with your love of opera you will enjoy it, I'm sure! I can honestly hallucinate listening to the beautiful voices....all Latin or early Italian I think, and I don't understand it, but oh my God!

    Thanks for the info!

I'll check out your reference and see what I can find on the sampling online.

If I can't, I may PM you and ask if you can email me a couple of your fave tracks so I can hear them.

    Later.
