We cut a white birch out of my Mom's front yard and they are going to make the perfect mounting platform. They took a little time, but it was pretty simple, they turned out really nice and will look good on the wall.

What did you use to clean the skulls? Beetles, boiling or chemicals?

Skin them as best you can, then boil them in a metal bucket on a turkey fryer burner for about 2 1/2 hours with water, borax and dawn detergent. After you boil them, it is best to pressure wash them, but we used an air compressor this time and it worked just fine.
