Got another one hooked on bird hunting
I mentioned my hunt with daughter a few weeks back to a friend from work, named Todd, who immediately expressed interest in going sometime. With MLK day upon us, we made it happen. I let him borrow my 12 GA Benelli Super Black Eagle II and I used the 20 GA Browning Citori White Lightning. I got Bolt back out to sniff them out, but changed things up by adding some chukar partridge to the mix. He wasn't thrown in the least and once again did extremely well. He found every bird we put out and we downed all but one. Despite what the picture shows, we actually shot 6 chukars and 3 pheasants, but one hen that Todd shot was just completely obliterated. He learned the same lesson I re-learned my last time out about giving them a second to gain separation.

Yeah, Todd was like a kid in a candy store. I don't think this is the last time we'll be doing this.

Accuracy: because white space between bullet holes drives me insane.

As for the preserve, this one is Cherrybend Pheasant Farm. I have yet to try out Stull's, but it's on my list. Gonna try a few and probably member-up. I figure the dog needs the work to stay sharp and I really enjoy upland hunting.
