7.5X55s a few at higher prices are still out there. I own a K-31, but if you don't might be time to grab one or older models like the Schmidt-Ruben M1896 / 11 carbines and long rifles.

The MILSURP market has been rather dry lately/past few years for anything I want or am willing to pay the asking price for.

I would like to get one of those AND a good Brit Enfield or two. Those are two milsurps I don't have. I've always wanted an Enfield since back when you could get a nice one for $25.00. But back then I had no money. Now that I have, they cost 10x as much and are getting rare. Why couldn't we see that they were a finite item and wouldn't last forever?

I have a friend who hunts with a Schmidt and Ruben 1911 (?) K-31 is not technically a S&R, although it has the straight pull bolt.

I'm happy with my K-31 and wouldn't mind some earlier versions, but the price would have to be right. It is a keeper along with my Enfield .303 and Ishapore 7.62

    As oft repeated:

The Americans had the best target rifle in WWI, the Germans the best Hunting rifle and the British the best Battle rifle. By far a .303 is one of the all time great bolt actions ever. Swiss K-31 never been in battles since they have been a neutral country.

Speaking military type guns, I saw some M1 carbines the other day, new, said they were made by KAHR. Is that the same as the handgun mfr? I looked on their site and they don't show any rifles at all.

    Edit - Found this http://www.gunsamerica.com/922619249/Auto-Ord-Kahr-Arms-M1-Carbine.htm.

Guess they are part of Auto Ordanance. This one is way expensive. I think the new ones I saw were around 600 and that seemed high for the quality.
