Are you seriously leaving that ugly ass scope on that rifle? I mean it is jut a 270, but Jesus that scope is ugly.

Why not. Its a 6-24X50 with an illuminated reticule..............Just because it doesn't have a brand on it doesn't mean to say its crap.............I mean, It is a 270 after all......

You will find that the 130 grain bullets are more accurate than the 150's.

    Food for thought.

The hatred of the .270 on this site is funny. Over the years, that round is easily in the top 5 cartridges for taking game in the US.

If anyone has a minty pre-64 M70 that you are wanting to dump, I'll gladly add it to my collection.

Dude, this forum is just an extension of the old Elmer Keith/Jack O'Conner phony feud over the .270. Obviously Elmer Keith was the favorite, here. Don't confuse this cuckolding of the .270 with actual hatred - it's just mainly an unrelenting hazing of a devout Jack O'Conner disciple. Half the people here have probably killed deer with a .270.

Nope. I like 'em both, but I favored Elmer because he was unsophisticated, knew it, and didn't care - like me. And he could make a Peacemaker kiss his ass. :tooth:

No worries Uncle - I was asking the same questions when I joined this forum!

That proves one out of five "men" in the USA are homosexual.

And a .270 is nothing more than a .30-06 that was picked before it was ripe.
And the 7mm-06, a.k.a. .280 Remington, is vastly superior on ballistics and bullet selection, IMO.
