Its my first. There is a big gobbler in these woods also, but the jakes were there.

Damned skippy! I learned my lesson the hard way on this one too many times: if it has a beard, shoot it! You can almost always secure another tag if you have time and burning desire to wait on a bigger one.

The ground blind is one of the most shockingly effective tools for turkeys. I had a hen within 10 yards of the blind when I was sitting with Jerry's buddy Elvan in Tennessee. We were snapping pics and moving all around in there and that bird had no idea.
