Waco sure attracts the Whackos don't it. Biker gangs having a meeting at a Twin Peaks restaurant didn't turn out so well.

So far, it looks like nobody's civil rights were violated, and no 'innocent' victims were killed. Isn't that supposed to be what we all want?
Maybe or maybe not, but this is what it looks like, sometimes, when police wait until a law is broken to act. When the media circus subsides, I reckon we will find out who is to blame. For now, it seems like a pretty good result, under the circumstances.
One thing about it, there don't seem to be any innocent victims killed or wounded here. They are all gang members. Now that can't be a totally bad thing.

Agreed. Biker gangs shoot it out now and then, and sometimes innocents get killed too. Thankfully the cops put the hammer down on this and apparently they did some of the "compulsory retirement" of gang members.
Good results all round. I read somewhere that the restaurant owner welcomed the gangs to rally there. He needs to be shut down asap. Let 'em fight out in the roadside or wherever, not where civilians might be. It was just sheer luck that nobody innocent got hurt.
Cops around Tennessee call those situations "public service murder" where scumbags shoot each other. Lots more economical than trials, jail terms, parole- - - - -"rinse and repeat"!
Jerry
They need to do this public service in a more remote location. I can't believe no innocents got caught up in this.
The violence erupted shortly after noon local time at a busy shopping center along Interstate 35 that was full of people, including families marking Baylor University's graduation this weekend.
Just look at the flowers Lizzie, just look at the flowers.
And not to be outdone, over this same weekend, 49 people were shot in Chicago.
Anything can happen anywhere, and next time, the bad guys might not be so careful of the good guys in the immediate vicinity. It is appropriate to carry a concealed weapon anywhere you are likely to come into the presence of any other person. Rule #1 - Have a gun. Everywhere, every time.

Maybe the U.S. Government will be able to hire these biker gangs to help us eliminate ISIS when they invade!

Chicago beat Waco this past weekend. 49 people in Chicago were shot between Friday night and early Monday morning. The total shot in Chicago this year now stands at 627. That city needs to change its name from 'The Windy City' to something like 'Bullets Fill the Air City'.

They sure arrested a butt-load of Bikers, but I'm wondering how so many (170?) can be charged with Capital Murder, gonna be hard to make all that stick unless they get evidence and some talking, which ain't likely unless they are facing the death penalty/life????
Some of the dead were shot by cops, 4 or more the news is saying.

Don't know about Texas, but many states have in place a law in which if anyone dies during the commission of a felony, everyone committing a crime is charged with "felony murder".
Most of the time if you read about someone that has been charged with felony murder (as opposed to just regular murder), it's because they were with some buddies robbing houses or stores, the homeowner or store owner killed one of the thugs, and the other thugs are charged with the "felony murder" of their buddy.
I know like the Getaway Driver/ Wheel-man in a bank robbery where he waits outside and his buds kill someone inside during the stickup, but 170 bikers...............how could they all of known murders might occur at what was a turf conference/who could wear the Texas Rocker under their colors?
I don't pretend to understand the organization of MCs and how they work and think, but some former members of those clubs and others have come on TV trying to explain the way they work.
The Bandidos were formed by a Vietnam Vet and dock worker in the 60s and the yellow and red on their colors is homage to the USMC they said on TV ...................
Some of the TV footage showed some colors saying Veterans and Bell County (Fort Hood area) on the Rocker at the bottom. I saw quite a few bikers in that area while I was out there.

Banditos and even the Hell's Angels were formed by former vets who still had the wanderlust. But the fun aspects of these "2%" clubs (2 percent of motorcycle riders are "bikers") soon left the organization, as leaders like Sonny Barger and others took their clubs into causal crime (smoking weed) and then to a highly organized network of dope dealers -- meth mostly -- and serious crimes, extortion and similar.
There are of course many peaceful and law abiding biker Harley-riding (mostly) groups. I used to go on rides with one of these "non-gang" gangs in the Bay Area and later, El Paso. These were just a bunch of guys (and some gals) who loved bikes and rode all the time. Their "colors" were not-threatening and they just hung out and played pool and drank beer. And teased me for riding a "ricer" until they took a spin on it and found they could easily hit 90 in 3rd gear, 3 more gears to go. I'd be playing pool and they'd tell me "Sam, your bike has a leak -- better check it out" and I go out to the lot and they'd have dribbled a scoop of white rice under the **** hump. Jokes like that.
But the Banditos are genuine thugs. Similarly the other gangs involved in the riot.
The concept of "public service homicide" has been known and understood for decades. Nothing handier than a local scumbag taking out another local scumbag....no fuss...no muss...

Learn somethin' new every day. All this time I thought all murders were felony's. How can you have a misdemeanor murder?

Eli is right about the terminology, but that terminology is misleading. Yes if someone dies during commission of a crime (say, heart attack) then that is termed "felony murder" and same here in Texas.
As you know, not all deaths are murders (felonies). If you deliberately cause someone's death, it's technically a "homicide" even if it's a legit self defense shooting and no charges are filed. The term "homicide" means the intentional taking of a human life, regardless of the circumstances. There is of course "justifiable homicide" which is what a "good" SD shoot would be labeled. If however it's determined that the killing was not justified or was a crime (holdup, mugging, etc) then it's now "murder" which is the unjustified taking of a life.
But regardless of the term being confusing, "felony murder" is the term often used. That might have now changed since I did my research on the lingo, however (I studied criminal terminology for my mystery novels).
Banditos vs Cossacks biker gangs. Cossacks are supposedly aligning with the Hells Angels in an effort to take over in Texas and the Banditos are defending their territory. Many will be charged with RICO violations if not capital murder. Good thing no bystanders were hurt. This ain't over.
