Don't think this will be up long. Saying exactly what I was saying even as a young man during the Carter administration.

The Admiral didn't sugar coat that at all. And he was right on each point.

Sad that the only way to talk to someone people is to bring them to their knees first. Don't like it but it happens. Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, Korea.

The only reason the North Koreas came to the table at all was Truman's line, "the continuing loss of American lives has now become unacceptable." Fear of the glass filled, self lit, parking lot syndrome. If Obama said that, we'd be retreating.

He explained it pretty well. Politicians should kiss babies and stay out of the way of the military. All the items mentioned were mishandled AFTER approval. Sad,Sad, Sad.  Later,

A lot went on back then..............how about The Iran-Contra busines...one would think Ronald would have canned the SecDef on the spot, but who knows all that was going on behind the scenes.

Admiral sure highlights a lot of missed opportunities and seems to be a straight shooter.

I recall reading that Regan took responsibility for Iran/Contra because he was POTUS and was therefore ultimately responsible. The way it should always be. Can you imagine Hillary doing that?

Relax. We Freemasons are everywhere, that's true, but we don't control everything. Just the important stuff...

I find it interesting that Reagan did not go over his sec of defense and order the raid.

Obummer is responsible for a whole pile of dung and he won't take responsibility for anything except catching bin Laden. And that wasn't even his operation. That was a Bush admin action. It was begun before Obummer ever got elected, much less inaugurated. That's why Obummer kept Gates on the job. Remember Bush chose Robert Gates to replace Rummy and Gates resigned right after the bin Laded gig. Also, CNN let it slip the day bin Laden was killed that it was a four year old operation. Well Obummer hadn't been in office quite 3 years yet

Also, anything Hillary and Obummer could come up with together would have to be a disaster. It would be so libtard and PC it would never have a chance of getting off the ground.

Kudos to Admiral Lyons for having the balls to speak up, since my first hitch I have maintained that the military should be run by the military, not by politicians.

Any realistic person should be able to agree with what he said about Islam and Obama. If it walks like a duck...

Some things really are just as simple as they appear to be - when someone expresses a desire to harm you, you should take them at their word. When they demonstrate it through their actions, over and over again, you deserve what you get, if you haven't already compensated for it with actions of your own.
