U.S. Flag quiz....

What's the one flag that can be flown above the National Ensign and when/where is it appropriate to do so? NO ASKING DR. GOOGLE....you know it or you don't......

That's the one. Saw that quite a few times.
But there's more to it than that. For ships at sea, there are points on the mast called 'honor points', and the U.S. flag flies at the highest honor point. It may not be the highest point on the mast but it is the highest point of honor for a flag. While other flags can be flown at the top of the masthead, this position is a lower point of honor than the position of the U.S. flag.
(I didn't cheat and use Google; I used my 44 year old copy of "The Bluejacket's Manual". Don't leave port without it! :tooth:)

Actually known as a "Church Pennant".....There is a Christian version and a Jewish version...and there will likely, in the near future, be a Muslim version since the Navy now has a Muslim Chaplin....
