Back before my ears went sour I loved to listen to the big name tenors.
I loved Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras, Placedo Domingo, and Andrea Bocelli to name a few. But Pavarotti ruled. That guy was awesome. There's been so many great ones though I can't remember them all. I remember Mario Lanza back in the 50s. And at one time I had an old 33 1/3 RPM album that had John McCormack and Enrico Caruso on it. I could listen to this crap for hours on end and spell bound the whole time. Yeah, I know I'm weird, so what? I like .270s too. :tooth:

No, although I like both versions of Ave Maria. I seem to recall there being some slightly different wording between the Catholic Lord's prayer and the Protestant one - or maybe different Protestants use differing versions.

It's not so much Catholic and Protestant, it's which book of the Gospel it came out of I think. Even in Masonry when we say the lords prayer for different functions it's different in different branches. Like in the York Rite, in Chapter and Council it's one version and then in Commandry it's another version, one says forgive us our trespasses and one says forgive us our debts. The one the Anglican Communion uses (Episcopal is part of the Angican Communion and so is the Church of England of course) says for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever amen. Where as another version says only forever amen.
With Catholics, and some of you who are Catholic correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm not 180 % sure of this, but I think, the Catholics in their mass cut it off at some point and don't say it all. I think it's covered by the priest some how'in the mass. Not sure.

He's doing what any over glorified preacher does, tell us how selfish we are and that we should give more to the poor which means to the church, that intermediate money holding tank. Of course most of that money will stay in the church. But he's no different than any of them. Just take a sip of kool aide to sweeten the taste of it all and don't look back, :roll2:
Seriously, the one in the White House is a lot more Marxist than the Pope. And as for the Global Warming thing, outside of this country most of the world has bought into it hook, line, and sinker, so don't be surprised at what any foreigner says about it. All my wife's family in the Philippines believes that Horse Hockey.
The only countries that don't tell their peoples are China and Russia maybe and they probably tell them what a horrible polluter we are but don't say anything about all their own horrid crap they themselves put to the air.

I follow Zorba's sigline... I won't look to politicians for examples of morality nor will I look to religious figures for advice on how to handle global warming or illegal immigration. Technically, since I'm not Catholic, I don't look to any pope for advice on much of anything.
