Mk 262 Mod 1 or 50gr AE tipped for HD carbine

Currently my HD carbine, and AR pistol are loaded with Fiocchi 50gr V-max, I've also got some of the IMI Mk 262 mod I ammo.

I'm planning on stocking up on more of one of them, just can't decide which I want to go to.

Before you "poo poo" the 50 gr tipped, keep in mind Hornady has had good success with their 55gr Vmax loaded in their TAP Urban LE and TAP FPD Lines.

I've found a good deal on the AE and figure it'll make a good replacement for the Fiocchi.

So, for a 16" HD carbine and a 10.5" "pistol" which 223/5.56 load would you chose? And why?

Whichever shoots best in my gun. I would lean towards the IMI.

I have zero experience with the Federal load.

It should be comparable to the Win combined tech load I tested for you

Inside a house, I'd vote for the 50gr then. Outside, I'd go 77gr.

Of the two, the 50 grain. I'd be OK with the old 55 grain Federal M193/Winchester Q3131 jungle fighting round. Inside of a hundred yards, it tumbles and fragments nicely. Has the added advantage of being cheap.
