    I think that I would rather have one of the early ones. The new ones have a thinnner barrel and a cheesy stock. I think they were looking to cut the manufacturing cost.

    Yep........the new ones look like they're cutting down rejected rifle stocks and adding a pistol grip from a SR-22 rifle.
