I don't have a strategy, merely pointing out what can and is happening this election and that it is hard to sometimes believe what we think we just saw and heard after they put spin on it. Take a little fact, edit it, mix in some half-truths and roll the tape as you make commentary.
I know Cruz supporters on here don't want to see or hear about this and will say move on, nothing here. Funny how that works ain't it?
The difference is there is written and video record of Trump saying stuff like loving Kelo VS New london, and that he supports nationalizing banks and that he is for a AWB.
The best hit pieces you have come up with about Cruz are that someone he wanted to hire once hired a illegal, and at a conferance where he was a speaker another speaker who is not associated with Cruz said something out of line.
I'm comfortable seeing the difference.
It's boring, and your lack of creativity knows no bounds.
One person's nutjob is another person's male belly dancer. Because both of us are firearm enthusiasts, we are considered nutjobs by some. Christians (even ones I think are nuts and disagree with) deserve to be represented just as much as Muslims, Jews, atheists, homosexuals, gunowners, belly dancers, and even BLM folks do. That is what being American is about.
Ah, but I'm not saying that this is a "Belly Dancer" nation. The Christianists do. Therein lies the difference.

"If you get it and didn't work for it, someone else worked for it and didn't get it..."
Not to split hairs, but these quotes are neither Christian, nor 'Christianist'. They are from the book of Leviticus. In the Old Testament. You know, BEFORE the birth of Christ?
Christ's view on putting someone to death was a bit more forgiving, for lack of a better word..."Let he who is without blame cast the first stone".
Just sayin'
I would say they're not Christian - but they *are* Christianist. That's the difference in my view - but not my circus, not my monkeys.

I will concede to them that we as a nation have strong Christian traditions, but that is it. Otherwise, I feel that everyone is free to worship as they please as long as it is within the framework of our Constitution and they respect the same rights for others.
Reason obeys itself; and ignorance submits to whatever is dictated to it.

I will agree with that - with the caveat that a lot (not to be confused with "ALL") of so-called "Christian Values" are really what I'd call "Universal Values" held dear by ethical people everywhere.

Right, but we don't shut down the government, banks, and stores to celebrate Jewish or Muslim holidays. We do for Christmas and Easter-- Christian holidays. Even in Christianity, a very broad spectrum of values are covered with many of them in direct conflict with each other.
Ethics-- ethical. Attorneys are ethical. Some are morally bankrupt. ISIS follows the ethical code of their religion but ignore the values and morals of Islam. I don't put too much weight on ethics.

Yea - well, we're starting to get into semantics. I dislike the word "moral", preferring "ethics" - although I suspect we're actually saying the same thing.
Oversimplification deluxe:
"Morals" are what's proscribed by someone/something/whatever that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with someone getting hurt.
"Ethics" are simply "Who gets hurt?".
Yes, major oversimplification - to me Daesh (I won't corrupt a perfectly good Goddess's name in reference to this group, besides "Daesh" is an insult to them - works for me!) isn't "ethical", but they may be "moral". Far better/smarter people than I have debated this for millennia!
Good conversation in any event!

Exactly - which is why we can't be a "Christian Nation" - whose "Christianity" are we going to use? We have an excellent example in the middle east with "Islamic Republics" - whose "Islam" are they gonna use? So they kill other Moslems, blah, blah, blah... :blah:

Ethics is a code that is derived from religious, humanistic, and societal values. Morals are also derived from religious, humanistic, and societal values. The difference is that morals are used to distinguish right from wrong while ethics are a code of values that are not necessarily right or wrong.
It may be unethical for a doctor prescribe a suffering, terminally ill patient morphine and "warn" the patient that if they took the whole prescription at once, the dose would be fatal. I would also see the same situation as a morally right thing to do. Ethically, you can argue the doc should give that same person a shot to put them out of their misery and end the inevitable suffering, but the vast majority of us would see that as immoral.

I was talking to my kids about how willing people are to kill other people over basically nothing the other day and used Northern Ireland as an example....
Pasty, white, drunk, redheaded Christians that are trying to kill pasty, white, drunk, red headed Christians. You gotta love it!

Yea, pretty much. Makes ZERO sense to me!
I see ethics as "who gets hurt?". If a given action doesn't hurt anyone - have at it! Not as easy as it sounds by ANY means - wiser people than I have been screwing it up forever...
Morals are more on the lines of "Thou Shalt Not..." - irregardless of a given situation.
That's as I see it - obviously we're "inverted" from each other on the definitions - but now that we know that, we can communicate more effectively!
Its all good.
And I have to observe that this forum - of ALL the places I frequent on the 'net - is pretty much the ONLY place where I can engage in well-reasoned conversations from people whose opinions on this subject differ from mine. Who woulda thunk? Says a lot of good things about the folks here.

Again, not to pic nits...but calling my aunt 'uncle' doesn't mean she has nuts. I get what you're meaning is, but some folks won't.
