Look what ups dropped off

Ken kelly and I did some horse trading. Started life as a 29dx. Accuracy testing starts at 9am

I did put 12 rounds down the shop range yesterday and rang some steel.

Now it feels about like holding my 4" 686. Recoil was about the same with the ports being added.

    A 6" 29 packs pretty good on the strong side hip. I don't know about the full lug dx, but the lost weight has to help.

    I'm sure it will shoot lights out.

    It was done with electro chemical etch so I'm pretty sure there was a method to his madness.

    I know when i use mine I have to test the stenciles a bunch and get the spacing right so they don't bleed together

    By the way. It shot good. I had some stuff get in the way of me doing a good review and time was short. I just ran steel to 50 yards.

    Dang time...never enough of it....

    Those cuts look like the outlines on a bullet box... Bear Tooth(?) or like a cast bullet. Made me think of the feed tubes on .22s where the cutaway is to drop in cartridges too.

    It is different and looks well done and from Hoggin's report is a shooter. certainly not something you see everyday on a .44 and it does take a little getting used to because we are used to viewing the more traditional lines on a revolver.

    The gunsmith who did it probably will have plenty of business and request for his talents in his future.

    I'm in the camp that if it pleases you, it pleases me. I wouldn't have bought it if I saw it on a table for sale, but that's only because I've always loved the original taper barrel. I've never been interested in a full under lug, oven one with cuts on it. Regardless, all the work was very nicely done.
