If you stick to what you know..............you never learn new things.

You were simply honoring my request before I ever got there...Those are exactly some of the things I wanted to learn.
By the way, I am so glad you made this statement...:jester::agree:

On the next pig encounter I didn't take all day before I was ready to shoot.

After the lost opportunity on a good boar, we practiced there in the middle of the field until Ernie could get down on the gun with everything ready and on target in seconds instead of minutes.

I admit I delved a little into Cadre mode. But, he took it in stride, listened, performed, and the next boar to cross our path.............Ernie got on him like a bug on stink!!!

I was so proud of him, I laughed, patted him on the back..............and kissed him on the head.

    He was a good student.

So while I would love to hunt pigs with Zee, I'm not sure about the whole kissing thing. Maybe we can just skip that?

I seriously did not know that was coming.
I cycled the bolt, still on the animal just in case he miraculously got up.
Zee was in a jovial mood now (Obviously). He was giving words of encouragement, I don't exactly remember what he said because I was still focused on the animal. This was the third evening.
    Then it happened:love:

After the Cadre Mode..........I figured he needed a little reassurance.

    Cadre mode is fine.
In reality it is probably the best way for me.

I brined mine for a couple of days in a cooler before roasting. Oven, 325 degrees until he seemed done (mine took about 6 hours). JB's idea of basting with peppermint schnapps is a good one too. One of these days, I am going to make a pig roaster because I would love to do a 150+ pounder.

The best eating wild hog I ever had the pleasure of eating was an 80 pound sow and pure feral hog. It was reddish brown and had little or no Russian blood. It had about an inch of white fat all over.

Several piglets sacrificed their lives to the cause tonight. No big ones showed up.

    I'm cool with that.

You can kiss me however, you've just got to shoot a pig with an 80 grain Amax.

    First, or afterwards?

    Ha!

A hail storm destroyed that corn field. They replanted in milo. I'll check the status when I get back home.

Going back in the archives I just noticed this line. I don't know Zee personally except on here, but I'd be willing to bet that he will demand the whole package, and the Kissing sounds to be part of that package, on the hunt. So you need to cowboy up and get ready for the whole Banana Baby!

Hey, does anybody know if you can scrape a wild hog? We always skin them. I want to do a Lechon Baboi, Filipino Rotissori BBQ Pig. But they are much better if you scrape the pig instead of skinning it. Has anybody had any experience with this?

I know this isn't strictly on subject here, But I figured since we were talking pigs and all.........

I don't know why not, but I was wondering if the hair would be more deep rooted or something. I don't know if it will come out as easy as a domestic hog.
