Marine tries to help during a domestic dispute

First off, yes it's MSN, so of course it's leaning towards the "Guns are bad, mmkay?" point of view. But, this incident may teach us something, or reinforce a point. Carrying a gun does not make you invincible or an LEO. He tried to detain a scumbag piece of filth that had already shot his own wife/girlfriend/babymama. The deceased went to his vehicle and got his own gun, then tried to make a citizen's arrest on the trash, who promptly shot and killed him.
Prayers for the Marine's widow and 3 kids.... :angel2:

Yeah like you don't wade in wiggling a gun in the bad guys direction and hope he poops his pants and drops his gun. If you pull the gun use it immediately. Don't try to bluff the guy. If you pull a gun you've made the first move and if you give him time he will probably take advantage of it and kill you. If you don't plan on popping him then take cover and try to get in a position where you can take a shot if needed. Don't hang out in the open waiting to get shot.
Son that's somebody with nothing to do with his time but keep me in trouble with mom.
