BUY A CHEVY ... WHAT A JOKE! OUR BAILOUT MONEY WAS WELL SPENT???

After investing $80 BILLION ($80,000,000,000.00) in GM this is what we get.

    I own both GM and Ford vehicles and have purchase both new since the bailout. I am not going to hold unnecessary government intervention against General Motors-- they did what they had to do to survive and would have done what they had to do with or without the government's help. I resent the government for intervening. While GM management got themselves into the pickle and they are to blame for that, the free market has solutions and they would have been resolved without a bailout.

    I've got a former student who is assembling CADILLACS in Spring Hill Tennessee (Former Saturn plant). They had a 2-week shutdown recently because some essential parts for the production line were not available because of an earthquake- - - - - -IN JAPAN!

    Sorry folks, there's no such thing as 'American Made' when it comes to vehicles. Not any more. If your VIN# doesn't start with a 1 (what most here in the U.S. would consider 'domestic'), a 4, (captive European imports), or a 5 (captive Asian imports) it wasn't even assembled here.

    2 is Canada.

    3 is Mexico.

    I don't care where it's made, as long as it runs well and it lasts past the warranty, but I do prefer American styling.

    I bought a new 2015 Colorado last year only because Ford does not make a small truck. I have owned F150's since 1973 and loved them but I don't need one that size anymore. Chevy was my only American made option. Very happy with it so far.

    OK, so GM is trading with the enemy. Historically, we've done that a lot. But this time, GM isn't just trading with the ChiComs, it's exporting American jobs, technology and know-how to China. Had enough yet?
