Health question
I'm 53, pretty fit, maybe 10 lbs overweight. Lately, when I've been doing physical work such as mowing my yard, it feels like my gut is about to explode. It pretty much feels like someone is punching me the whole time. Tums doesn't work, and I do take Prilosec daily.
Sometimes I stop and even rest a moment.
I am a light eater, and I do probably drink a little more than recommended.
One friend says a possible hernia? I had a neighbor one time whose heart troubles starting with gut aches and not chest pain. If anybody has had issues like these, would appreciate input.
Thanks
Mark

Really can't help much, when I was getting a hernia the symptom was a burning pain at one spot until the bowel evidentially popped through the
mussel wall.
Best bite the bullet and see a Doc soon.
I know from personal experience.
As to Prilosec, my GP of many years who I consider almost a good ole country type told me to stop using it or a couple others because there is a connection with memory loss and kidney problems.

Your symptoms could be a lot of things, and speculating here is not going to help you.
