Words of wisdom from Big Chief: Flush twice, it's a long way to the Mess Hall
I'd rather have my sister work in a whorehouse than own another Taurus!
I'm going to break with tradition and actually SAY something instead of just posting the same tired old animation.
Steelers are playing my previous hometown Chiefs tonight in KC. Chiefs are okay this season but not as good as the Steelers (of course the Steelers got BEAT by the Texans but that's another story).
Watching the game, Chiefs are playing a fairly good defensive game against the Steelers, which isn't easy. Steelers ahead 13-6 in the 4th.
But I don't think the Chiefs offense has been doing the best possible. Most series, it's "first down, run up the middle, second down, run up the middle. Now it's 3rd and 7. Mmm, think the Steelers will expect us to pass?"
I mean, it's okay to "establish a running game" but when you've been trying to do that for half the game against a superb center defense, think you just might consider, ah, a DAMN PASS or something other than trying to run up the middle 1st and 2nd downs? Duh.
What's the definition of insanity? Trying to do the same thing over and over and expecting different results?
I'm a Steeler fan, as you know. It would however be NICE if people who start threads would SAY SOMETHING!!! and not be too very lazy. We've got a great forum here but it would soon sink into the deeps if all we did was to post someone else's emoticon and let that be the peak of our intelligence. We may as well all move to Facebook or Tweeter.
Agreed. Defense held the Steelers tight but by the time the Chiefs decided, hey, there's this thing called a forward pass, it was too late.
I really don't understand it. The Steelers have one of the toughest and best interior defenses, and continually running up the middle on 1st down is "ridicaloose". Sure, if it works, but the Chiefs simply didn't vary their play calling enough to spread the linebackers. You fake a run then dump outside to your tight end, or something similar.
On another note, the Texans are cursed. Their QB is out for the season with a bad foot injury, they take their bye week and prep their 2nd QB, and partway into the game he gets his collarbone broken, also out for the season. They're top of the division at 8-3 but next week they face the surging Falcons and don't really have an experienced QB. Things were looking sooooo good for the playoffs, too.

The only coverage I can get is to catch the replay at 10.30pm tonight ( in about 20mins).
Party pooper!!!
