My front door won't open
I was getting ready to take the trash out when I noticed my door knob wouldn't turn. I checked to see if it's unlocked and it was. I thought WTH? so I went out the back door to try the key in the front door, same thing, that knob won't budge.
I thought Well Hell!
I called my sis as she was out shopping and told her to get a new set before she comes home. I went to work and undid the knobs and knocked it out. That left the latch and it won't budge thus the reason the whole thing wouldn't move.
Ok, got online and researched the problem. They said call the smith, hack saw it, chisel etc etc. First thing I did was to chisel off the anti-pick latch and used my picks to move the latch in but that one is locked solid. The whole problem there at the end.
I thought well, better get busy with the chisel so I went got my heavy hammer and a sharp chisel out of my toolbox. As I walked to the front door I noticed something that made me laugh.
The hinges! No one said anything about the hinges! I put the big boys back in the toolbox and got my small chisel and hammer. Got the pins out and the door off the frame then got the latch out.
HAH! You idiots didn't think of that? Y'all chiseled and sawed and hammered but I just took the door off the frame. :rotflmao:
Now I'm sitting here waiting on my sis with the set.

All you need is someone on the outside and push the door.

If the leading edge is not sufficient, the door will not open in a arc.
Or this.
We were outside trying to GET INSIDE. This room hadn't been opened in years. Plus there just was room for the door to rotate in the frame.
