Dolled up Mossberg MVP and "Recce" inspired hunting AR.

I mentioned some weeks back about a Mossberg MVP I was rattle-canning for pig hunting. Here it is.

Nothing special. Just painted for my typical hunting property flora and the Griffin RSTA suppressor adapter fitted. A Vortex PST 1-4 tops it. Range test/dope confirmation this weekend maybe.
I also did up a rig for coyote and other critters that need ghosting. It's kind of recce rifle inspired (16" barrel, optics, 5.56mm) rig. The stock is an ACE fixed length. It's basically as long as carbine stock one click out from full extension. For me it's spot on for a variety of shooting positions.

This one bears the same scope and has been range tested as of last week. Sub-MOA just like I like it. I forgot to take the scope leveling bubble off the muzzle before the pic was taken.

A hunting report soon if the weather holds.

Thanks.
If the pattern works well I'm going to strip all the Krylon off and replace it with Duracoat.

I like them both. The Ace skeleton stock is one of my favorites. My only gripe is using a rear bag is nearly impossible when shooting from the bench.
Hmmm, now you gots me thinking I may have to play musical stocks.
Is that the factory plastic stock on the MVP? I highly recommend Tromix if you decide to change the trigger guard on that rifle.

Yeah this.

I might do that on the bolt action, if it started looking really bad, but the AR could be touched up easily or just painted over.
Badger Ordnance bolt knob. Factory knob was cut off, handle stem rounded and threaded for the knob. Red Loctite for insurance.

The only thing keeping it from my favorite is the lack of QD sling studs.
I want QD sockets like darn near every other adjustable stock I have.
Now that you mention it. You have to screw ON the ACE stocks. Which leaves junk hanging out in the open to get caught on stuff. Hmm. I may have to go into the cave tonight and try to fabricobble something sleeker for mine.

Meanies!!

Price wise they don't cost much more than CAR stock/buffer tube assembly combinations. The one pictured uses a rifle buffer and spring, not a carbine.
