The paper US saving bond... A thing of the past?

Interesting article here about the US saving bond going paperless. Just another American historical icon vanishing from our grips...A couple of items in the article that caught my attention was: US saving bonds have been around since 1935, and minors ( people under the age of 18) could actually own them, Now according to this article that will all change come Jan. 2012

My state has been doing away with printed saltwater fishing regulations (they change every 6 months) to save money. I'm not surprised the feds are doing the same thing.
