Brief Range Report: SA TRP

shotgunshooter3shotgunshooter3 Senior MemberPosts: 5,680 Senior Member
I finally got to sneak my TRP out to the range today for about 150 rds during lunch. I was using American Eagle 230gr ball ammo.

Nothing too unexpected to report. In 150rds I had one failure to return to battery with a no-name mag. It only happened once. The trigger and ergonomics were great, as expected.

I only shot out to 10yds, so no serious accuracy testing to report.

Original 2 piece guide rod or did you change it already?

Under close inspection I think I see grining teeth reflected in the target.
My thoughts are generally clear. My typing, not so much.

I changed it already. I'm holding on to the original but don't foresee putting it back on except for science.

Very nice! That will serve you very well.
Aim higher, or get a bigger gun.

That shot group may have all been in the black silhouette if you would have left the 2-piece guide rod in place it came with  :tooth:
