Bombing in Nigeria.. Western education forbidden.

Apparently Al Qaeda, is teaming up with the Mulsim sect called Boko Haram,, the article states that:
Boko Haram, which roughly translates as “Western education forbidden,” seeks to impose a stricter application of Shariah, or Islamic, law across the largely Muslim northern half of Nigeria

(just applying a little Ron Paul logic here)...killing women and kids....more proof of the peaceful, loving nature of religion practiced by some of the Muslims in our world...
Emphasis added. Millions upon millions of Muslims the world over live peaceful lives, and are no more prone to murder than you or I. There are murderous zealots in every faith; don't judge the majority by the actions of a few.
Money is not speech, corporations are not people, and wealth does not trickle down.
But just for the sake of discussion.....why is it that it doesn't appear that any of those "millions and millions" of those other Muslims aren't stepping in and curbing their less-peaceful brethren? It would be interesting to see a Saudi expeditionary force going to Nigeria to put a stop to these depredations...

I do remember thinking the same about Irish Catholics during our bout of trouble, did not happen, and still does not.

Maybe that is still so, world gets smaller every day and anything that could make your enemy stronger, even just bolder is bound to cost us!
And those millions support their more militant brethren, sometimes unknowing other times they know full well.
Many non militants hide behind that cloak yet support the militants with funding.
Nazi Germany is a great example, Hitler if not for massive support and equally massive apathy and folks that did nothing, was able to come into power, IMHO those that did nothing accomplished the same as those that supported Hitler openly.
It is the same case with Muslims, they hide behind the cloak of non militancy yet support the militant effort financially, some of Us are just not stupid enough to be fooled.
They are called descendants. Ask the Jews 1000 years from now if they forgive the Nazis. Some cultures hold grudges forever.

I have to agree with you tennmike and I might add: "Evil will prevail, when good men do nothing." I don't remember who said that. Case in point Nazi Germany 1938
I agree with you too DoctorWho. The old rock group, "The who" did a song "We wont be fooled again." Part of the lyrics said: Well there's fighting in the street.. Say hello to the new boss, same as the old boss, we won't be fooled again." The old boss being Bin Laden, Heaven knows who the new boss is.
Where are they? Where is the out cry? Why do they not demand this be stopped? They do not and their silence supports the few.
Would these be the same "peaceful" muslims that would "peacefully" pray in the streets of London by the thousands in order to "peacfully" bring traffic to a standstill every day? These "peaceful" muslims forced England to ban prayer in the streets. These "peaceful" muslims used to drive to London from numerous outlying towns specifically to pray in the streets and "peacfully" hinder traffic and commerce.
