I wonder what these chaps have been up to?

USS Jimmy Carter returned from a Pacific cruise;

Nothing untoward going on in the Pacific, surely? :tooth:

    Yeah....they kinda banged up the sail in a couple of spots didn't they.....must have hit something hard....probably a woman involved....

    It is kind of funny that folks are going on about how she's flying the Jolly Roger but hardly anyone mentions the damage....hell, it was the first thing I noticed!

    That does not seem fair, our lads in the Oberon-class subs (of The Cold War era) did not think it was right to accept their wages if there was no dents and paint missing, on return.

    I did not like to mention that, may have been down to poor maintenance. :jester:

    Maybe they were ramming whales?

    A real rust bucket, hey.

    Suppose they were under the polar ice cap

    It's hard to reapply the sound deadening rubber coating under water. (Danged landlubbers!) And Congress has been cuting the budget which cuts into repairs. And a ship or boat(sub) with no dents in it, painted over or not, is not worthy to be called a man-o-war! :tooth:

    Who'd they sink?

    Probably rammed and sunk a NK diesel boat after they offloaded a SEAL team on the NK coast to take out Lil Kim. The Jimmy Carter has an extra section added to it for 'secret squirrel' missions, like tapping undersea comms cables and sending out ROVs, or deploying SEALs.
