Two deputies shot today

and one killed in Polk County, GA. A maggoty looking w/m apparently shot them for no reason I can discern. An ambush, or so I hear. The one wounded had a vest, the woman killed was a plain clothes and did not. She had a 3 yoa kid. They got the bastard who did the shooting and his girlfriend. His ass is cooked.

A LEO is not the safest job in America. Eighty-something cops killed so far this year, a lot by ambush/gunfire.
Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.

    Sorry to hear that. Terrible. My condolences to the murdered officer and my hopes for the wounded's quick recovery. That just sucks. There is no good reason for this.

    It seems like the whole world's gone crazy. I've not been there, but I suspect that Polk County GA is not a place of high crime. My best to those affected.
    My thoughts are generally clear. My typing, not so much.

    I think 4 or 5 LEOs have been killed here in central FLA. in the last 2 months.
