  I may have to look into that. I read once one the execs from hipoint said they could not see building a 10mm cause the pressure was to high for a blowback rifle. Guess they figured it out.

  Hey, if it works like their 9mm carbines, that is a good deal for those with a hankering fer a 10mm carbine.

  Promag makes a 15 rd for the 9mm but it's junk and hipoint says it will void the warranty. Another company, Red Dog or something makes an approved 20 rd. Looks like two factory mags glued together but it supposedly works good. This thing may be hard to get for a while or at least cost a premium.

  Yeah, that's nice, for $1000. $400 plus for the upper and $500 plus for the Glock, I would rather keep bugging Palmetto to make one for a bit longer.

  You can get the Highpoint for cheap and know you're dealing with proprietary mags (and still come out inexpensive in the long run, I would think.)
  You can get the MechTech and get instant satisfaction at a higher cost.
  Or you can wait patiently and hope Palmetto State Armory comes out with what will probably be a very limited market product. At a potentially high cost ('cause they're probably not going to sell a lot of them in the whole grand scheme of things.)

  My question is: what's the carrier key thing up there for? There's no gas coming in, and no piston to impinge on it. Wonder if it's there for some kinda stability in keeping the bolt from rotating?

  I mighta missed something here or there, but... you can also use standard .45 muzzle devices, get your 10 oz. buffer and the heavy spring elsewhere, and other things so careful shopping could lead to lower costs. Maybe?
