Weatherby just announced that they are moving out of CommiFornia and heading east to Sheridan, Wyoming. Building a new plant and corporate offices....first we got MagPul and Hi-Viz sights and now Weatherby. Congrats to Governor Mead and Sheridan for this gift.

    And so it begins...

    I didn't know Weatherby was in California!

    Pretty soon California will implode with all their businesses leaving the state. Pretty soon their tax base will be landscaping services, fast food joints, and a crapload of 'stop and rob' convenience stores. And a bunch of housing abandoned by people that can't foot the property taxes and can't sell the places. Oh yeah, and all the Hollyweird studios and millionaire actors!

    CA will just create a new law where a business that moving will have it's assets seized by the state until it pays a moving tax of 80%. Sounds silly but that's exactly what happened in Rhodesia after the "people's revolution" and the white ranchers and land owners were leaving the country in droves...

    Seller has money deposited in offshore account. California can go pound sand.

    Roy Weatherby was the classic promoter- - - - -he sold (or gave) his rifles to the rich and famous, and basked in the publicity of hobnobbing with them. He's long gone, as are the rich playboys like the Shah of Iran and a bunch of other Weatherby customers like him, and their playground in the African veldt where they exercised those cannons is no more, also. Moving out of commie-land might fend off the inevitable for a while, but the heyday of "cripple and kill" guns (kills what's in front and cripples what's behind) is pretty much history.

    "A 150 pound Englishman takes a 15 pound rifle from his gunbearer and fires it at a 1500-pound Cape Buffalo. Both fall down. The first one that gets up is declared the winner of the contest. If neither is able to get up, their possessions are divided according to the Law of the Jungle!"

    Pretty soon??? Kinda feels like that now!

    For the normal people in California that don't live in the coastal megacities, it's going to get tougher than sun dried rawhide as to taxes. With no businesses to bleed dry, property owners and homeowners, and the farmers and ranchers, are going to get hit right between the eyes with sky high taxes to support the floundering corpses of the state and local governments. Any produce and beef coming out of California is going to go way up in price. That 'cow flatulence' bill that was floating around out there got passed, and with some other anti cow anti farm regulations will eventually kill the dairy and beef industry in California. There's times I think the California Governor and Legislature are on a LSD IV drip!

    Escape while you can!!!!!!!!! :silly::silly::silly::silly::silly:

    That appears to me the beginnings of a third world country environment.

    If Trump is not bluffing about withholding federal funds from sanctuary cities, that will bite pretty good, too. Suits me, though. I consider any federal dollars to CA to be foreign aid, anyway - like giving money to the Palestinians, which he is also gonna stop, apparently. Yee-haw.
