I've shot the other at the same OJ jugs I shot the guard dog at and thought it might have a penetration issue. It would hit hard and split the back and slip out the crack.
The guard dog hit hard, blew a 2 inch hole out the back; no question which way it went. Also split the sides.
I intend to shoot some boards as I saw an article about how it is down loaded for HD.
I carry Guard Dog from time to time. I observed a ballistics test on bare gel and through glass as well as sheetrock. The sheetrock idea was to show that it is "safer" to use in home defense in case of a miss, it will not penetrate far. I'm not so sure about that, but it is a nice round. Especially if you have a finicky feeder.
I did shoot some 2x6, the guard dog it did not penetrate out of the first board and expanded to .86x.61 inches; then shot a ball rnd, it got through 1.5 2x6.
I then made wall of 4 1/4 board paneling nailed to some 2x pieces separating each panel. The bullet zipped right through expanding on each panel making the last exit hole 3/4" across.
Down loaded or not this ammo will go zipping into the next room if the stud in not hit.

Break break---I see your BIL is at large now.
Yep, he graduates tomorrow.
I'd like to get some .40 as well.
