2 year anniversary of the Hesston shooting

Watching the news tonight about this I couldn't help but compare it to the recent school shooting. There were 3 fatalities so it was not as bad in that regard and I suspect the people were spread out more however it happened in a small town with only one PO on duty the chief and he entered the building and shot the shooter. He was awarded a medal by the president this week. The shooter was a felon and could not buy a firearm so he had his girlfriend to buy it for him. She was charged and convicted but only received a sentence of time served and probation. The pawn shop owner pled guilty for allowing a straw purchase but appears to still be in business. No one called for banning AKs. I understand these weren't children and fewer of them but the way the local press covered it was the community pulling together not blaming the NRA and banning guns.

I remember this well....Hesston is just a few miles south of where we lived. Small Town Kansas cop turned out to be a warrior....
