2 browning 1895’s at LGS!

yep there are 2 browning 1895 Winchester’s at my LGS both for $995 one 30-06 and one 30govt’(30-40).  Both are in perfect shape.  What a time to be alive! I have one in 06’ already the 30govt’ would be a great pair!
Aim higher, or get a bigger gun.

    Someone handy with hides could make a nice fringed scabbard for a rifle like that😁

    Ha! Not n the cards right now..... we don’t do credit cards either haven’t for 12 years.

    A 303 would be cool for sure! The brownings are fine rifles!

    First one I've ever seen with a scope mount.

    Must be a bucnch of 303 95's hiding up in Canada.

    I'm having a spell of cerebral flatulence at the moment. Does the 30-40 have a rim? or is it like the 06? I've seen and handled the cartridge but can't remember. I may be getting it mixed up with the 7.62x54 Commie cartridge.

    .30-40 is almost a copy of the .303, except the US went with a .308 bullet instead of .311. Ballistic twins.
