Optic for Ruger PC Carbine

JKPJKP Posts: 2,775 Senior Member
Got a Ruger PC carbine on the way and I'm pretty set on adding a red dot optic. Any recommendations or first hand experience? I'm leaning towards something like a Vortex Venom or perhaps a Sig Romeo 1, maybe a Burris Fastfire? Tube style option would be a Sig Romeo 5.

I do like my Fastfire.  No experience with the other two.

Cmore.  Nothing as bright,  nothing as rugged. simply the best in the price range.  Don't get the clickable switch, not worth the extra money.  And if you buy in the right places, you can pick your dot size.  I don't think I have ever adjusted any of my cmores after the initial zeroing.  Two of those were 4 years ago.  Go to shooters international and they let you order the dot you want from 2 to 16 moa

Edit to add:  my vortex venom broke in about a yr.  I haven't sent it back yet, has a no questions asked lifetime warranty.  I don't like it too much, dot is not bright enough, you can't wear sunglasses with it, lost zero a couple times, hard to adjust on my gun cause it still has a rear sight.  Now the razor is supposed to be very good.
