I'm very curious about how many here are following the FBI scandal
Since nobody but Fox News and conservative talk radio are reporting on it, I'm curious about how many people are following the Justice Department scandal that has been unraveling for over a year.
At this point, the House of Representatives has given the de facto head of the Department of Justice seven days to comply with the oversight committee subpoenas for pertinent documents relating to their involvement in the pro-Clinton, anti-Trump factions within the FBI, before they vote on contempt of Congress charges, and possibly impeachment proceedings against Rod Rosenstein.
There is a mountain of circumstantial evidence that suggests a rigged investigation into the Hilary Clinton server case, featuring the same cast of characters involved in the Trump collusion and obstruction of justice investigation that was secretly conducted against Trump by the FBI, before Rod Rosenstein appointed ex-FBI director Mueller to investigate it. At the time, we were told that Trumps tweets about Comey's firing was the reason for a special prosecutor, but that has evolved considerably, since the firing was recommended by both Rod Rosenstein (Comey's immediate superior) and the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Justice.
At this point, the document(s) outlining the scope and purpose of the investigation, and the predicate evidence for authorizing it have still not been made available to the public. The Department of Justice cites the thousands of documents that have been released as proof that they are complying, but many of the key documents are either being withheld for 'security' reasons, or are heavily redacted. It should also be noted that many of the documents that the DOJ claimed contained classified information have been shown not to contain classified information, but rather information embarassing to the DOJ or FBI. Some of these surfaced in the OIG report.
In addition to the political bias issue in both the Cinton server and Trump collusion investigations, there is also circumstantial evidence that the DOJ and FBI submitted evidence to the FISA court for search warrants, that consisted mainly of an unsubstantiated opposition research dossier, prepared for the DNC and paid for by the Hilary Clinton campaign, by a former British intelligence agent and various Russian entities. In addition to that, all efforts at oversight by Congress, relating to the unmasking of private citizens names who turned up in various intercepted communications with suspects being investigated, have been thwarted by the DOJ.
At this point, with only a trickle of information reaching the public, the top two FBI people, the Director and Assistant Director, have been fired, for cause, based on recommendations from the Inspector General. Another high up FBI manager has been demoted, and two of the main counter-intelligence investigators on both investigations have been demoted for extreme political bias. There are believed to be others that the media does not yet know about, and several more that appeared in the OIG report, but have not yet had their names released. One assumes that they are still being investigated.
With none of the mainstream media covering this story, I'm just curious as to how many people are still completely unaware of the story.
