Our Norwegian Forest Cat is not amused by this thread....Mike
While my mut cats are not amused either, given the size of a Norwegian Forest Cat imagine how many it could feed and the nice winter jacket hood liner you could end up with.

If I could lick myself, I wouldn't be posting either. I would have much better things to do.

Speaking of Buffy, my wife says if you eat the cats testicles you get super powers and you can climb barn walls without the special boots

Taste/Flavor was darn good. Like pork.

Texture was a bit stringy/bandy at times depending on the cut.

It was good. I would/will eat it again. Probably find a different/linger way to cook.

Probably ate ate half of it tonight.

Sounds like it would be a good stewing meat.

He cant reply at the moment, his wife coaxed him into the car on the pretence that he was going to the vet just for 'shots'.

My cat usually starts complaining when the food bowl is half empty.   Heaven forbid she doesn't have a weeks worth of food at all times.

Nice! Hopefully taking a few of those out as you have will help the quail population.

As as far as how to prepare it, got me there. Never had cat before. But I hear there’s several ways to skin one....
Quail, deer, whatever. They are predators and that's what they do. They definitely put a dent in the populations of some game animals.

Probably not my 'cup of tea,' I think, but I'd rather eat a cat than own one.

Rumor has it the Pilgrims at the first Thanksgiving dinner were eating bobcat, not turkey- - - - -which suggests that the menu should change at our holiday dinners, too!

I've not eaten bobcat but have eaten tenderloin from mtn lion . They were just rubbed with olive oil cracked black pepper, kosher salt, and garlic and were grilled. Cooked until they were about 150-155 degrees then let rest for 10 minutes. It was very suprisng one of the better meats that I have eaten. There's not a lot of fat so don't overlook but I don't think it's something I would eat rare.
