    6 reasons maybe.

    Recoil in a un-ported SP 101 is afoul -----you shot one with a Hogue monogrip.

    I wish I had put the stock wood insert grip back on.just for you.

    Ah.........so some loads ain't exactly puty cats with factory grips and un-ported bbl.

    Should still be better than a .357 in same size revolver............Yes?

    I've fired some full house .357s outta my model 13 K frame and it will get your attention.

    When I first got it, I shot 30 100 gr rnds------my hand went numb.

    Thinking about this, I decided to change the bedside gun to a .327;
    might as well shoot the whole house down if I have to use it, hey.

    I reckon it would get the BGs attention pretty good.

    The 130-grain hardcast load from Buffalo Bore Ammunition is even suitable for bear defense. You can expect almost 3 feet of penetration from this hard-hitting, powerhouse, .32-caliber load.

    a 22 short is suitable for bear defense if you shoot yourself with it :)

    Eskimos in Alaska used to shoot polar bears with .222 Rem. chambered rifles before someone told them that they wouldn't kill polar bears. .327 Mag. may not be all the rage for self defense, but it will work just fine, I bet. Ned ain't undergunned with it, and if they're close enough, he can set 'em on fire with the muzzle flash, too! It definitely has the velocity to reach the tootsie roll center.
