Black Widow Recurve Bow is Here!

Boy, they got this one done faster than advertised.  Just 6 weeks from order to completion, and the end product is anything but disappointing.  I picked it up in person to have them personally tune my arrows to the bow, and that alone was worth the trip.  Tuned bare shafts flew with perfect paradox to point of aim. Those are now fletched and ready to go.  

Needless to say, this little beauty will be joining me in Iowa on my next hunt.

    I know right?  What a bum.  Nobody buys anything this tacky without a hoser on the other end urging him on.

    I’m glad we weren’t able to meet for lunch. The less I handle such ugly things, the less I want one.

    For me, it was a chance meeting with a fellow hunter while leaving the woods after an archery turkey hunt years ago.  He had a gorgeous graybark Black Widow recurve, the model of which I couldn’t tell you.  It was stunning, but the thought of learning to shoot instinctively was totally bewildering at the time, as I could barely handle a compound.  Still, I always thought of his bow when the vision of a recurve came to mind.  

    Years, and a lot of shooting with a cheaper recurve later, here I am.

    That's beautiful Luis, Congrats. Don't think I've ever shot a recurve but damn if that doesn't make it more than  appealing.

    It’s amazing when you shoot one with a proper setup and realize that you are capable if hitting a target with nothing but the instinct of pointing it where you want the arrow to go.  It’s a completely different experience than shooting a compound with sights.
