  Red Labels are just splendid O/Us.
  Gold Labels are the same for SXSs..if you can find one..
  Ruger turned out some of the finest American made doubles.

  Old feller I used to work in the gun shop with (RIP) who never missed a dove opener since he got back from the Korean War had one of those in 28 gauge.  The slick thing about that one was Ruger made a dedicated receiver for the 28, where most manufacturers just dropped a set of barrels on a 20 gauge receiver.  I never did get to shoot it, but damn, was it a lively-feeling shotgun!  Felt like it was made of cobwebs and helium!

  I meant to ask, are you guys mostly hitting ag fields or water holes for your doves right now?

  He doesn’t have agg on his place. Just brush and pasture. So, we aren’t real serious about dove hunting.

  That sounds like as good a plan as any.  Very similar to how we hunted them in Nevada.  Very little ag there, and even less water.  Siting regular transit paths was the way to go.

  Red Labels are beautiful, unfortunately they don’t fit me. I had one, couldn’t hit a bull in the butt with a scoop shovel with it. Traded it in for my M70 supergrade, 264 win mag.
