How to Become a Former Democratic Party Official

It's easy. Just exercise your right to disagree with strongly support. In an earlier article he stated that although he sympathized with what the "kneelers" were protesting he could not accept disrespecting our flag.

But Maxine Waters can tell people to call those of other political parties out in restaurants, gas stations and other public places, to shout them into submission and it is OK.  Not sure where we are anymore, but it sure isn't the America I was brought up in.

Something very similar in this mornings news. I find it encouraging that the rabid progressives can be their own worst enemy.

No different than being a non-Christian in the GOP, supporting the right of a mother to choose, etc, etc. We're NOT welcome, because we don't "toe the line" of the GOP's particular brand of slavery. *WHEN* will this country swing Libertarian? And I mean Libertarian, NOT the Marxism that seems to have infected the Libertarian party of late.
In the meantime, the GOP remains the best overall party for those like me. But as I say, "No Democrat can convince me to vote for him, but a Republican can still lose my vote.".
    Its very frustrating...

I was very surprised by the Bill Clinton quote "safe, legal, and rare". Not because it agrees with me (I have a problem with abortion being used for birth control when there are many effective ways to prevent unwanted pregnancies.) No. I was surprised that he actually said something intelligent.

This I can completely agree with!

Unfortunately, there are nutjobs wanting to control/eliminate contraception because it disagrees with their religion. Uh-uh...

I don't like "closing ranks" in police - OR politicians. I have no problem whatsoever with a politician that "breaks ranks" - that at least gives voters a choice. Unfortunately, RINOs are usually a combination of the worst of both parties and the best of neither - but if it swings the other way, I'd sure vote for him/her. Otherwise, we have the same, tired choices.
I'm not saying I'm "persecuted" - that's for members of certain religious sects to feel that way - I'm saying I don't feel welcomed. The GOP is generally the best choice among several - or at least two - bad ones, but they're not anything "wonderful". I just disagree with them less than I disagree with the Democrats - but they're both parties of slavery and both are evil as far as I'm concerned. Our founding fathers warned us about partizan politics, yet here we are...
    *shrug*
Another way to put this, I guess, is that there really isn't a "party" that reflects MY values - and even though I'm too weird for words, I do think this is a quandary faced by many - perhaps even the majority. Otherwise we wouldn't have "the pendulum" that swings increasingly wildly - the majority is trying to vote for the lesser of two evils. Libertarianism comes closest, but as we all know, the "official" Libertarian Party went full r etard Socialist this last go-around. How the hell that happened is beyond me.

I don't think we would do any different if it was one of ours.  If my local RNC guy went and told everyone he was supportive of the folks kneeling during the anthem I personally would have asked for his head on a platter but I would have probably be last in line for the ass kicking after all the local boys were done with him/her.  In any case, It is against everything I believe in and NOT in line with the spirit of what I want the party to support.

I'm all for the personal expression of diverse opinions, but not from party representatives.  If you represent the Party, then toe the party line or become an independent.  Otherwise we'll end up with a third world 10 party system like Venezuela...

Oregon only needs 2 more parties to match Venezuela's 10. We now have Republican, Democrat, Independent, Constitution, Libertarian, Pacific Green, Progressive, and Working Families. What's next, The Flying Spaghetti Monster party? This is what happens when the lunatics are allowed to run the asylum.

Sounds like it would be better than the usual non-choices the 2 big ones give us.
Somebody tell me what the problem is? Because I sure don't see one, other than the RepubliCrats losing their hegemony. (???)

That makes some sense, I'll noodle on that for awhile. Not that 2 parties are doing a whole lot better!

This is an excellent footnote to the fact that government is a "necessary evil" at best.

I'm a registered Independent because of two reasons.
    1. I refuse to be a member of a political party that would accept me. That they would accept me as a member makes them highly suspect on its face.
    2. There are only two political parties that are viable; the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. There is no Articles of Confederation Party; if there were an Articles of Confederation Party, that would be my choice.

According to Jurassic Park it's more like a LOUD wet gurgle...
Wambli, you're thinking of the wrong sound effect. The wet gurgle sound was when the Jurassic Park dinosaurs were taking a poop and poopin' out the slow hairless apes they'd chowed down on the day before! :D

Sigh... what would I do without you... 🤪
I'm a stickler for accuracy, and poop jokes are funny! :)

Edit to add: And just so ya know, most everyone in any military  service tends to have a dark sense of humor. Probably true of cops, too, but I don't know that as fact about cops. But with military folk, I'm certain! Jumping happy animated emoticon
