Early voted today.

At about 10:45 and voting was heavy. In this very red county, I find this hopeful. Couldn't find my driver's license for ID, so I showed my weapons license, which was fine.
Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.

    Not until the 22nd here. The Dems still have a chance to convince me to vote for them........

    I've never had a Democrat convince me to vote for hir (to use a PCBS term), but I have had a few Republicans convince me to NOT vote for them. I don't see that happening this year...

    Every year, I become more like my dad, who never admitted to being a Republican, even though he voted for every Republican since Ike's second run. (Yes, he voted for Adlai Stevenson in 1952). Truthfully, he was a FDR Democrat, from his childhood during the Dust Bowl days, until he was mature enough to become an anti-leftist. He finally did enough reading and witnessed enough history to recognize the foolishness and dishonesty of liberalism carried to its logical conclusion.

    I'll go to the polls on election day, as will my wife and kids, and their husbands. Anybody who has the first clue about what this country stands for should do the same.

    I have to fill out my ballot as a voting reference. There's a boatload of candidates and 10 constitutional amendments to go through, but I'm going to try and make an early voting place.

    We did too.

    Ballot was the type you fill in the oval with ink-----the booth platform was so rickety-----
    I told them it was making me sea sick-----they found a table and chair to let me finish.

    @Make_My_Day. Read those amendments carefully, a couple of them are sneaky.

    Yeah, especially #10 I believe. That contains 3 issues that are completely different. As I mentioned in another post about voting for constitutional amendments, I will use as a guide what left-wing groups are promoting the amendment and probably vote the opposite.

    Need to send in our absentee ballots Monday. I always check to see who is for a measure because that can tell you quite a bit if it is a bit ambiguous.

    Actually it contains 4 unrelated issues......but I don't know that I disagree with any of them.  Got a flyer in the mail from our local Sheriff in support of it.  I can see why, it ensures that the office of Sheriff will always be an elected position.  I am of two minds about that.  On one hand it tends to politicize the position, but on the other hand an appointed Sheriff would be appointed by.......a politician.  And an appointed Sheriff would be much harder to remove from office by the voting public than an elected one......

    I received my ballot in the mailbox yesterday (19 Oct). I completed it and dropped it in the box at the post office today. I can now LOL for more than 2 weeks as I toss the political mail ads in my recycle bin and completely ignore the TV ads which will grow nastier and more desperate every day.

    Why would you pay attention to any political ads at any time?

    For entertainment only, to be amazed by the "whoppers" they come up with. My point is that now having placed my ballot in the care of USPS I can laugh at the money they are still spending with zero chance of persuading me.

    Sent my ballot out to combat the liberal loonies, felt good to do so. WA. State liberals have an anti-"assault" rifle bill on the fence, out here in rural areas the roads are lined with Vote No signs on that one, we'll see......glad I have what I have already.

    Washington and Oregon are very much alike. Rural conservatives have the land but loony liberals in their cesspools have the votes. You have probably seen this. Photos are in the oregonlive (Oregonian) newspaper link. Comments are worth reading. What a juvenile fake. Of course our ultra liberal media ate it up.

    All these candidates are drapped in the flag. The care so much about all of us. Especially when they spew phrases like working families. Its hard not to vote for all of them.

    And all the polls here show that experts are in agreement.

    My personal 'logic' for voting on election day at the voting booth is that voter fraud is harder to accomplish. Sure, it's still possible, even likely in some precincts. But, all of the early voting methods and absentee voting provides a sneakier way to tinker, without being caught. Person to person interaction requires more audacity, with a lot more real people scrutinizing the process.

    In the present climate, it would be foolish to think that attempts at voter fraud are not prevalent. It may not be enough to drastically change the numbers, nationwide, but artfully done, it can succeed in targeted precincts, and that is how House of Representative campaigns are won and lost. Most of the gains that Socialists have made in the last hundred years have been done through propaganda and cheating, and they have never been more organized in America than  they are, now.

    I researched flash bang grenades and could find no Law Enforcement grenades that were launched rather than thrown. I did find a photo of the exact thrown grenade tapered spent case in the photo that was no doubt picked up during the riot and then inserted in the bored hole of the helmet. If a LEO could throw a flash bang with that force and accuracy they need to try out for a Major League Baseball team!!!

    Google search "37mm flashbang."  That is the size of most LE grenade launchers.  They do exist. 

    But the round in the article looks more like a 37mm baton round, to me.

    I went to the courthouse and early voted today at 10:00 a.m. No line when I got there. The governor's race was like a Cecil B DeMille movie, as in 'a cast of thousands. I think there were something like 30 people on the ballot running for governor. The state legislature and the open seat for  U.S. Senate had a whole bunch of folks running, too. Some of the political parties they represented had funny names. I laughed and the two ladies running the voting looked at me funny so I said the name of the party and they giggled, too. Only party not represented was the Bull Moose party.
