I smell red herring, but I am not sure if some Dem's sent them to create a rally in their base, or if some Repub's sent them to create a rally in their base.  It's all too convenient that none went off.  I am betting they are all inert in some way.  So fake bombs, lots of news time, who benefits?

I was sort of feeling bad that Liz Warren had been left out. She's taken a lot of heat lately over that DNA test. Nothing like a bomb, or a smallpox infested blanket, to put a little hitch in her Giddy-up! :D

Now they're saying that the detonators in the 'some of the bombs' were not viable.Well, DUH! One or two little button cells in that cheesy timer couldn't power one high output LED, much less light off even a cheesy model rocket electric match; not enough available amperage. There's something else about the wire in each end that made me look at those pipe bombs really hard; that's highly irregular for a detonator. Looking more and more like either a scare tactic, or a B.S. play by someone in the Democratic camp (camp follower, loony tune, creepy basement dweller) to gain some sympathy votes by blaming it on some 'vast right wing conspiracy'. I'm ready to NOT be surprised when the person or persons are caught. And they will be caught; they don't look to be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Well they are saying the packages (I won’t use rage “B” word because they really weren’t suppose that go boom) originated from Florida. I can just here the interview now ... David Hogg says “well there I was in the Post Iffice when this redneck with an NRA hat came in with the 10 packages ....”

Well they have a man in his 50s in custody. Former New Yorker and current resident of FLA. He has a history of making threats and a criminal history.

"MIAMI (CBSMiami/CNN) – Federal authorities have arrested a man in Plantation in connection to a series of package bombs that have been sent to top Democrats and President Trump critics, according to CBS News.

The man was taken into custody at an auto parts store on State Road 7 at SW 6th Street around 10:30 a.m. A “loud explosion” was heard at the time of the arrest, possibly from a flash bang device used by FBI in the course of making the arrest.

A law enforcement source told CBS4 the man is 56-years-old and they were led to him through DNA evidence.

The FBI also wrapped a blue tarp over the top of a white van in the parking lot, to preserve any evidence, before it was put on a flatbed truck and taken to an FBI facility."

Man he has all kinds of stuff plastered all over the vans windows. Hard to make them out, but some look like Trump/Pence posters/pics.

The van at least, doesn't seem to fit the group preperscribed narrative.

    Maybe it's fake news?

He is listed as Native American.

A nut case from all accounts.

    Not looking good.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2018/10/26/who-is-cesar-altieri-sayoc-what-we-know-about-suspected-mail-bomber-arrested-florida/?utm_term=.0e710a139d21

He already said to investigators that the bombs "wouldn't hurt anybody" -- then he shut up and wanted a lawyer.

They've already harvested a ton of info from his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

And now they have video of him at Trump rallies holding up "CNN Sucks" signs.

They're gonna nail this guy to the wall -- they have to.

What a Richard Cranium this guy has turned out to be. He'll get enough time to die in prison over this, especially if they use the terrorism charges against him. Left Wing nuts, Right Wing nuts; nuts is nutz.

One nut case out of countless thousands. Thankfully he was stupid. Soon enough he and we won't even be able to remember his name.

That van raises a few questions. He was hanging around in Plantation, FL and South East FL in general. That van had no signs of being vandalized. That area of FL is NOT a bastion of Conservative or Republican voters, so driving that van around would make it a tasty target. With conservative yard signs being stolen, ripped up, or otherwise destroyed all over the U.S. I can't see that rolling 'I Hate Democrats' billboard not getting some serious vandalism done to it.

There was a FBI spokesman on TV saying the bombs were viable. LOL  Maybe if someone put a proper detonator in them and a battery big enough to power it. I still say the photo of one of the bombs was as operational as Hillary Clinton becoming pregnant. It was less dangerous than a few road flares taped together and an old style alarm clock taped to them.

Was it more or less dangerous than an old digital clock pulled apart and mounted in a pencil case?

Maybe reports of the vandalism of political messaging is more sensationalism and hyperbole than substance?

This is strictly a thought exercise, but if a left winger were to design a van based on their idea of what an extreme right winger would drive, how do you think it would look?

Funny you mention that. The first thought I had about this guy was that he's basically a living caricature...

Those are some high quality stickers.  Up in Michigan I see a lot of the Trump 2020 stickers that are already fading, never mind ones more than a few years old.

According to what I'm seeing on the news, this guy is not a right wing extremist. He has suffered from prolonged untreated mental illness. He saw a  bandwagon passing by and jumped on it. It was coincidentally a political bandwagon.

This is an on going problem in our society. People suffer from some degree of mental illness. They do or commit some outrageous or criminal act, and get labled according to whatever superficial evidence is indicative. Often to fit some narrative. An uneducated and distracted mass populace blissfully ignorant of the complexities of untreated mental illness suck it all up as sold, and the cycle of misinformation marches merrily on, uninterrupted by the inconvenience of clear factual perception.
